Sharifa joined Bait Al Qanoon in 2025, with experience in commercial, labour, civil, and insurance disputes. Sharifa represents clients before various judicial bodies, including government departments, Royal Oman Police, Public Prosecution and the Courts. Sharifa prepares pleadings and legal memoranda and supports clients with alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and settlements outside of court.

Experience

• Advising and representing an ITC developer in disputes concerning service charge recovery, tenancy, commercial and labour matters. Reviewing contracts and governing documents, preparing legal submissions, analysing the applicable laws and regulations, and representing the client before the competent courts throughout the proceedings, achieving a 100% success rate.
• Representing an engineering and design company in a labour dispute arising from an unfair dismissal claim filed by a former employee following the termination of his employment contract, with the employee successfully claiming OMR 11,000 in compensation and other employment dues.
• Advising and assisting an Italian hospitality and project management company in a criminal case involving fraud and hacking activities, including unauthorised access to electronic systems, with the amount in dispute being EUR 500,000. Conducting legal research, preparing case files and legal memoranda, and successfully representing the client before the Public Prosecution.
• Representing a real estate company in a tenancy dispute seeking eviction of a tenant due to prolonged non-payment of rent, reviewing the lease agreement and relevant documentation, preparing legal submissions, and representing the client before the competent authorities and courts to enforce the eviction and recover outstanding dues.
