Salim joined Bait Al Qanoon in 2026. Salim assists with legal research, case preparation, and document review across a range of litigation matters. Salim is responsible for opening and following up on enforcement proceedings with the competent authorities. Salim regularly attends Court, Ministries, Royal Oman Police and Public Prosecution.

Experience

• Advising and representing an Omani Ministry in dispute resolution proceedings arising from Crude Oil Sale Agreements, including addressing attempts by opposing parties to invoke liquidation as a mechanism to evade contractual liability. Drafting legal memoranda and attending court hearings to defend the client.
• Advising a UAE-based client with business interests in Oman on employment law matters considering the prevailing regional conflict and its economic impact on business operations. Providing legal opinions on the termination of employment contracts on economic grounds pursuant to Article 43 of the Labour Law, assessing the scope of the regional conflict's impact on the client's business, and determining whether such circumstances qualify as a force majeure event under Omani law.
• Advising a foreign company on a dispute resolution matter arising from the shipment of goods, including conducting legal research, drafting memoranda, and advising on the applicable maritime limitation periods under Article 209 of the Maritime Law and the implications thereof under Article 350 of the Civil Transactions Law.
• Representing an Expert and Regulatory Manager in an employment complaint before the Labour Disputes Department at the Ministry of Labour, including advising on employment entitlements and rights, providing legal analysis, drafting and registering the complaint, and representation before the Labour Dispute Settlement Committee.
• Assisting a holding company with drafting and updating its existing company policies, and the registration of internal employment policies, grievance and disciplinary policies and penalties policy with the Ministry of Labour, obtaining the required approvals.
