Mussadak Mirza is a commercially astute British barrister with over 20 years’ experience of advocacy in complex and high-value litigation. A graduate of the University of Oxford (Master’s degree), he has appeared frequently before the High Court and the SCCO at the Royal Courts of Justice in London. He is regularly involved in evaluating evidence and liability, preparing pleadings, providing advisory opinions and strategic support on disputes, and brokering settlements. In the UK, he practises from Cobden House Chambers. 


At Bait Al Qanoon, Mussadak serves as a consultant barrister within the dispute resolution and arbitration team, advising on a wide spectrum of contentious matters including arbitration, litigation, adjudication, mediation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. His extensive background in industrial and occupational disease litigation, particularly in the steel, rail, coal mining, and shipbuilding sectors, provides a robust foundation for advising on construction disputes, mining operations, and maritime-related claims. The firm’s clients include Omani ministries, entities, and commercial companies as well as foreign investors and individuals in disputes throughout the Gulf region.  


Recognised for his pragmatic and commercially focused approach, Mussadak is meticulous in preparation and strategic in delivery. His analytical and tactical strengths consistently contribute to successful outcomes in complex disputes. He holds CIArb Certificates in International Arbitration and Arbitration Award Writing. 


As the UK Lead of the Omani British Lawyers’ Association (OBLA), Mussadak promotes professional collaboration between the UK and Oman. He delivers training and webinars for Omani lawyers and trainees in partnership with the British Omani Society (BOS) and the Cultural Attaché of the Omani Embassy in London. He also contributes legal articles on Omani law to OBLA and the BOS Corporate Newsletter.
