She specialises in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, ensuring that agreements comply with Omani legal standards and international best practices. She has experience negotiating transactions, particularly in corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Farah also assists clients with legal due diligence to understand the Omani market, identify investment opportunities, and navigate legal and regulatory requirements. Additionally, she regularly engages with regulatory authorities to facilitate business licensing, approvals, and compliance with evolving legal frameworks in Oman.
Experience
- Advising a multinational private client on the establishment of a turnkey industrial plant for the manufacture of packaging materials, including project structuring, facilitating inward investment from a European jurisdiction, and assisting with the registration of the investment on a repatriation basis with the relevant Omani regulator.
- Assisting a freezone company specialising in the production of complex metal phosphates in connection with a multi-million-dollar investment in Oman. Advising on and reviewing key project contracts such as land and lease agreements and utilities agreements, supporting negotiations on incentives, preparation of the In-Country Value proposition, and liaising with Invest Oman and Sohar Freezone.
- Advising on and implementing conversions between various corporate forms, including sole proprietorship companies and limited liability companies, across sectors such as energy, education, and entertainment. Advising on shareholder rights, board and management structures, authorised signatory powers, corporate governance arrangements, and ongoing statutory and annual compliance requirements.
- Assisting with the incorporation and establishment of a UAE-based scientific corporation as a sole proprietorship company in Oman. Supporting and assisting with labour matters, registration with the Tender Board, opening a corporate bank account, office leasing arrangements, and advising on Omanisation quotas and related regulatory requirements.
